16 May, 2020 Local philanthropist donates iPads to Loma Linda to help kids feel less isolated Quarantine can be tough. But imagine being a child in a hospital with little or no access to loved ones. One local philanthropist wanted to do something. Rancho Mirage resident Judy Coon is the founder and CEO of the JDO Foundation, an educational nonprofit whose mission is to provide an enriched experience for American and international classrooms through the donation of state-of-the-art technologies and professional training to the educators managing them.

16 January, 2019 JDO Conference in Rome, Italy JDO hosted a collaboration conference for international partners in Rome, Italy! This conference provided an excellent opportunity for international JDO partners to come together for valuable training and the opportunity to network and share collaboration strategies and experiences. Teachers and Administrators from 16 countries were in attendance. These included: England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Italy, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Croatia, Spain, Brazil, Uganda, India, and the United States.

10 February, 2019 My Meandering Journey to Become a Global Educator Part 2 My Global Learning journey really started when I received a scholarship from Down Country, a local group founded to “promote positive awareness for individuals with disabilities/exceptional abilities in the Tri-State area and to facilitate the education/specialized training of teachers, therapists, administrators, doctors, nurses, support staff, families, and rural residents working with differently abled/exceptionally gifted people within the Tri-State rural community.

10 April, 2018 JDO Conference in Denver, Colorado. JDO hosted a collaboration conference for U.S. partners in Littleton, Colorado! This conference enabled U.S. partner teachers and administrators to meet and receive valuable training and share collaboration strategies and experiences. We were excited to have representatives from 10 states in attendance. These included Colorado, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Missouri, California, Wyoming, and Wisconsin.

This poster session presentation featured teachers and students (grades 3-8) who participated in the JDO Collaboration program for the school year. These representatives and JDO staff shared best projects from one on one classroom collaborations involving partners in 66 schools worldwide.

During the week of Jan. 19, the JDO Foundation, a Littleton based non-profit educational organization, visited three schools in the Archdiocese of Denver to provide 540 iPads: St. Rose of Lima Academy, Assumption School and Guardian Angels School.

Each student and teacher at Guardian Angels Catholic School was gifted with a mini iPad this past month from the JDO Foundation, a Littleton-based, non-profit educational organization. “I am so grateful that all the students and the teachers at Guardian Angels received an iPad,” says Ms. Mary Gold, school principal. “The generosity from the JDO foundation brings one- on-one technology training to enhance their skills for the 21st century.”

The JDO Foundation, a Littleton based non-profit educational organization, will be deploying over 540 iPads to three Catholic schools in the Denver city area during January 2015. The Foundation is ensuring that each child, Pre-Kindergarten to 8th Grade (Ages 4-14), will have 1:1 iPad integration to use during their elementary and middle school educational experience.
